About Us
Alpha Athletics
is a educational and fun introduction to
cheerleading. Our goal is to focus on
coaching children and teens in the
fundamentals of cheerleading, as well as, to
instill developmental skills that will be
important tools in life. Our program
develops teamwork and a childs self-esteem
and self-confidence.
Alpha Athletics was created in December 2008
by Kayleigh Scott. As former preschool cheer
coach for C&C cheer, she was offered the
opportunity to take over the company that
ran classes that she had been coaching. She
jumped on the opportunity but desired a
different type cheer program. She changed
the name and expanded type of classes
offered. Instead of just preschool classes,
Alpha Athletics offered cheerleading for all
ages including competitive all star
cheerleading.
At the
time that Kayleigh took over C&C Cheer, the
only location for classes were local
preschools and Life Time Fitness. Alpha
Athletics kept some preschool locations and
continued to offer classes with Life Time
Fitness until November 2010. Alpha Athletics
then began offering classes at two more
locations, Team Attraction Gymnastics in
Apex & Championship Martial Arts in Cary.
In May of 2011, Alpha Athletics opened the
doors to their very own gym in Cary. With
their own space, they were able to further
expand their programs to include, Parent's
Night Out events, Track Out & Summer Camp
programs, Birthday Parties, All Star Parent
Squad, Tumbling classes, Cheer Clinics and
more. They continue to offer preschool
classes at KidsRKids in Cary & Wake Forest.
There
is no limit for Alpha Athletics and it's
cheerleaders. They are determined to
continue growing and developing both as
cheerleaders and as a family.
More
about C&C Cheer
The company began in 2005 by two preschool
mother's who realized that their children
were offered various educational enhancement
opportunities at their child-care center,
but none that interested their children.
Together, they created business that would
offer cheerleading classes to preschools.
They named the company C&C Cheer, to
represent their last names, Cooper & Condon.
By 2008, Condon had left the company and
Cooper desired more time with her children.
Kayleigh Scott, a C&C Cheer coach of two
years, was offered the opportunity to take
over the company.
